Yumi ran over to her lost friend. She could hardly keep standing. When she reached Kojima she dropped to her knees, hugging Kojima’s legs, tears running down her face. The boys followed suit, but this time their weight brought Kojima tumbling to the ground. She giggled, but the weight was beginning to her now even more fragile body.

Before she could even regain her breath, Fu tugged Saruwatari and Matsuo up by their collars, his large muscles flexing. Yumi looked up at him, still attached to Kojima. She blushed. This man was not bad looking. And the fact that he was large with pure muscle didn’t exactly hurt the fact either. Yumi looked back at her friend.

“H-have you been with this man all along?!” She managed after wiping the tears from her eyes.

          Kojima nodded.

“Yumi-Kun, this is Fu-San!” She pushed Yumi off of her. “He healed me after—”

“He tried to kill you!” Matsuo cried out, attempting to be freed from Fu’s powerful grip.

Kojima frowned. “I didn’t exactly invite him over for tea.”

“True…” Yumi sighed. “She did shove a sword through his head…Hey! Shouldn’t you be dead?!”

          Yumi looked suspiciously at Fu.

          Fu shrugged.

“I’m…different…” he told her. “I’ve never really fallen to even the worse wounds. My body is just too strong.”

You got that right Yumi thought. She glanced over at Kojima. She could tell she was thinking the exact same thing. Oh, how Yumi had missed having another girl around to talk about guys with!

Kojima grinned at Yumi. Yumi grinned back. Then she lunged at Kojima.

“Koji-Kun!! I missed you sooooo much!!!”

Kojima was speechless. She had never really known how to react to such things. She kicked Yumi off of her and laughed hysterically. Yumi, remembering how they had use to play like this in the village, tackled her again. Kojima kicked hard, but Yumi dodged. She knew one of Kojima’s kicks could really cause damage. She threw a jab at Kojima. Kojima blocked with her forearm. Her eyes narrowed. Yumi had gotten stronger. Her punches hurt even worse now.

“Back up, retard!” Kojima shouted, scrambling to her feet. But just as soon as she had gotten up, she fell back down again. She whimpered with pain.

Fu, looking very concerned, rushed over to her.

“Kojima!” He knelt down beside her. “I told you not to get up so fast.”

          Kojima made a sour face.

“It’s no fair!” she wined, punching Fu’s rock-solid chest.

“Kojima?” Saruwatari didn’t dare step any closer to Fu. “What’s happened to you?”

Kojima looked up, fire in her brown eyes.

“My body is giving out on me,” she told him. “I’m not going to become a vegetable or anything, but I’ll never be as strong as…well…weak little you!”

Saruwatari looked taken back. Yumi, however, looked serious.

“Koji! What the heck?! I leave you for two years and you return more pathetic than my grandmother!”

          Kojima frowned.

“You think I wanna be like this? My joints are weakening and my bones are aching. I’m gonna rot when I’m thirty!”

Matsuo moaned. “Don’t say things like that! I bet you could still beat up Saruwatari…but I guess that’s nothing considering the three year old down the hall of the hotel stole his lunch money…”

Kojima grinned. Saruwatari growled. Yumi laughed out loud. Fu just stared.

Kojima carefully got to her feet.

“Please, Old Lady Kojima!” Saruwatari teased. “You shouldn’t be walking around in such a weakened state like your own!”

          Kojima stuck her tongue out.

“Oh, dearest Saru-San. I’m most vulnerable when I make sudden movements. But I can still move well enough to make you cry.”

She slowly began walking over to him, as she often did when she was about to hit somebody for being stupid. She’s corner him and then make him pay.

Saruwatari didn’t move. Yumi just smiled to herself. Her friend was stupid. Kojima often acted on brute force and anger. Didn’t he know she doesn’t know how to play gently? To make matters worse, Yumi decided to join in.

Fu sighed and sat down. He had had enough of these young fools. It was nap time.
